Whoopsie Doodle
Once upon a time, I had a newsletter. I was pretty late to the party, since one of the Big Rules of Indie Publishing is that you always have a newsletter. But I'm bad at social media. I don't want to write about myself. And I don't want to write about my stories--I want to put my energy into writing my stories.
(SIDENOTE: I don't care what Claude or ChatGPT or AI/LLM-detection software have to do or say. I like a good em dash and I'm gonna use 'em. That's all for now. Further ranting about AI can come later.)
(SIDENOTE ADDENDUM: I am decidedly against using AI in creative works.)
Still, I built a newsletter up on this very website. I learned to have fun with it. Wyrm Talk articles were all about researching dragons from around the world. And judging them.
But then, as mentioned in my last post, the gas ran out. On top of that, I wasn't paying attention and there was a software change on my newsletter platform. Everything imploded. Newsletter = gone.
Whoopsie doodle.
So, here's to starting over. If you want to sign up, check out the link above or just click HERE. There's a freebie short story in it, if you do. "A Matter of Scale" is still one of my favorites, after all these years. And Greasetrap the dragon is still near and dear to my heart. I've got plans for the not-so-little guy in the future.
Thanks,
Jon
P.S. I've joined a number of other authors in a free story giveaway for June. You can find out more here:
